How thin are Moeco sensors compared to competitors?
Moeco sensors are just 13mm thick - 3-5x thinner than traditional trackers that range from 15-25mm. Our upcoming Cat 1 bis tracker will be only 4mm thick, setting a new industry standard for thinness.
What's the battery life of Moeco sensors?
Our sensors have a configurable battery life of up to 90 days. Battery duration depends on tracking frequency and environmental conditions. The ultra-low-power design ensures maximum efficiency throughout the shipment journey. The new LTE Cat.1 model extends this to 120 days.
How does Cat 1 bis technology improve on existing solutions?
Cat 1 bis offers 50% lower power consumption than LTE-M, enhanced coverage in remote areas, simplified device architecture, reduced module cost, and global deployment capability. This allows for even thinner sensors with longer battery life.
Can Moeco sensors be reused?
Moeco does not recommend reusing disposable tracking devices. Battery consumption varies significantly depending on shipment type and conditions, which can unpredictably affect device performance and reliability in subsequent uses. For guaranteed tracking accuracy and performance, we recommend single-use deployment as intended.
Does Moeco use GPS technology?
No, Moeco sensors do not contain GPS hardware and never store coordinates on the device. Instead, they collect cellular data which is processed by our secure platform to calculate location. This approach reduces device cost by 40%, extends battery life 3x, and enhances security.
How accurate is the location without GPS?
Our platform provides 5-10 meter accuracy in urban areas and 50-100 meter accuracy in rural locations. This precision is sufficient for supply chain tracking while offering significant cost and power savings compared to GPS solutions.
How secure is the Moeco platform?
Security is fundamental to our design. We use end-to-end AES-256 encryption, hardware security modules, regular penetration testing, and comply with GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 standards. Location data is never stored on devices, eliminating physical security risks.
When will the LTE Cat.1 sensor be available?
